The pilot location will be the Mitera Hospital in Marousi, Athens (Avenue Kifisias and Erythrou Stavrou 6, GR-151 23), Greece.
Short description of the facilities
The Mitera Hospital (μητέρα: means mother) is one of the largest private hospitals in Greece with 30 years of operation. The hospital has a total of 501 beds with 28,500 inpatients per year, 186.000 outpatients per year and performing a total of 25,000 surgeries and 12,400 births per year (figures referring to 2009). The total number of doctors working in the hospital is 1.500 along with 950 employees.
The Mitera hospital is part of the largest group of health services in South-eastern Europe, the Group of Hygeia (υγεία: means health) and has three (3) Clinics: (i) the General clinic, (ii) the Obstetric / Gynecology clinic, and (iii) the most modern Pediatric clinic in the country.
The Mitera Hospital is a state-of-the-art Maternity, General and Children’s Hospital of 35k sq.m. adjacent to Hygeia with the following facilities: a magnetic tomography (MRI) 1.0 Tesla, one of the three largest in volume unit of Assisted Reproduction (IVF) in the country, laparoscopic surgeries with latest generation equipment installed, a full-organized and modern Conference Center named “Nikolaos Louros” and a VIP wing specially designed and constructed to meet the highest level needs of hospitalization in an environment of safety and quality.
